Recognising the increasing interest worldwide in the environmental monitoring of the marine environment, SMRU Ltd has opened an office in Malaysia to cover the growing demand across Asian countries for its specialist marine mammal monitoring services.　

Led by Dr Lindsay Porter and supported by our UK based scientists, we offer expertise in collecting data, and then subsequently analysing and interpreting it for our clients.　 With particular expertise in marine mammal bioacoustics, we can offer guidance on measures to mitigate the impacts of development activities on protected and sensitive creatures such as whales, seals, dolphins and porpoises.　

Our team can provide comprehensive experience in licensing, permitting, and environmental assessment, field study design and leading edge scientific solutions for marine industries.
