SMRU Ltd expanded its physical presence into North America in 2009 with a new branch office in Vancouver, Canada and a satellite office in Seattle, USA.  Led by Dr Dom Tollit together with acoustician Dr Jason Wood and working closely with our UK based scientists, we have strengthened our present network of relationships and secured multiple collaborations and contracts across the region.

We provide comprehensive experience in licensing, permitting and environmental assessment (FERC, NEPA, MMPA, CEAA), endangered and special-status species consultation, field study design, applied research and cutting edge technical solutions for marine industries. 

Marine renewable and oil and gas projects to date highlight marine mammal monitoring (acoustic and visual observations) and anthropogenic noise assessments.

SMRU Ltd strive to provide full regional coverage across North America through a network of select collaborators and affiliate partnerships.
